11-12 November 2021, Berlin and online -- Conference "Water Heritage - a Source of Knowledge for Sustainable Development"

In cooperation with the European Academy Berlin and the ICOMOS International Scientific Committee Water and Heritage and in partnership with the University of Groningen, TU Delft, ICOMOS Germany is organizing a two-day conference "Water Heritage - a Source of Knowledge for Sustainable Development”.
The hybrid event in Berlin and online will focus on the specific question of what contribution water-related heritage can make to sustainable development or to achieving the climate goals and the global goals for sustainable development of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals.
As an interdisciplinary event, the conference takes an intersectional approach, by aiming to help close disciplinary and institutional gaps, stimulate communication and interaction between the cultural heritage and water sectors, and communicating the relevance of the topic as well as policy needs and goals between civil society and politics.

Registration: If you are interested in joining the conference, kindly register by mail to water@icomos.de.
Language: The conference language will be English.
Program: You find the program in attachment.
