21-22 March 2024, Olsztyn/ Poland -- Conference: Erich Mendelsohn’s Architectural Legacy on its Way to the UNESCO World Heritage List

The conference in Olsztyn is the fourth conference organised by the international association EMI (Erich Mendelsohn Initiative) for the recognition of Erich Mendelsohn's architectural heritage as World Heritage. Due to the pandemic, the first conference of this kind was held online in 2021, followed by the second in Germany (Berlin 2022), and the third in Israel (Haifa 2023).
To complement and summarise these previous conferences, the discussions in Olsztyn will focus on the buildings in Europe and Israel. The main objective of the conference is to draw up the first partial list of Erich Mendelsohn's architectural works to be nominated for the UNESCO World Heritage List. Mendelsohn´s buildings in the United States of America will be topic of the next conference planned in March 2025.
