The volume contains the results of an international expert meeting held in July 2020, which put European funding programmes and funding criteria up for discussion with the aim of giving cultural heritage a higher status in Europe. Also included at the back of the publication are the "European Quality Principles for EU-funded Interventions with Potential Impact upon Cultural Heritage" (in German), which were revised internationally at the end of 2020 and supplemented once again in the German version.
